Each of our regularly scheduled instructors pictured below are independent entrepreneurs at the top of their respective fields. We recognize that by working together in close partnership, we're able to build community while maintaining our unique businesses, and reach more people than we'd be able to alone. We’re always open to adding new, holistic-minded instructors to our lineup. Extend your reach within our community, network with like-minded business owners and market your own services! Meridian Integrative Wellness is built on the foundation of education and empowerment, so make your class fun, inspiring, and educational; we want your attendees to go away with knowledge and skills to do whatever you're teaching on their own. Plan to teach a hands-on, interactive class (most evening classes are about two hours) and we'll handle the tough stuff: registration, marketing and support. Jessica Hill Powell is a nationally board certified health coach, and the founder of Meridian Integrative Wellness, a business that is the embodiment of all of her passions: the psychology of change, continued education, mentorship, natural wellness, and personal growth & empowerment. She has a degree in Psychology from Bellarmine University and was trained as an Integrative Health Coach at Duke University. She's also a certified yoga instructor. Aside from her own private health coaching practice, she teaches a class series, Demystifying Meditation, a free monthly Wellness Restoration, as well as a rotation of creative pop-ups.

Shelly Sowell, M.Ed., LPCC, is professional clinical counselor who is passionate about helping people bring deeper awareness and balance to their lives, in order to create more meaningful and inspired living. She counsels and creates from an integrated wellness approach that includes developmental, relational-cultural, and body-centered models of therapy and healing. She attended graduate school and trained at Vanderbilt University, in Nashville, Tennessee. Shelly leads a class series, Integrative Strength Training, which is an 8 session/4 week immersion into aligning with your authentic self and creating a strong core from the inside out.

Alyson Hendry, M.A., CCC-SLP, is an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and Speech-Language Pathologist. She specializes in helping educators, medical providers, and caregivers of individuals with special needs prioritize and find time for much needed self care. She has an integrative approach that will help you explore the connection between the way you fuel your life (career, relationships, etc.) and the way you fuel your body (food and exercise). She believes eating quality, whole foods is one of the key cornerstones to healing our bodies and brains. BUT-- all the kale and broccoli in the world cannot fully counteract a stressful lifestyle. Healthy eating alone cannot counteract toxicities in other areas of our lives. She hosts various hands-on classes in our classroom and kitchen space to create ongoing community and support amongst those experimenting with changing their eating and lifestyle habits.

Rhona Kamar, Wellness Chef, has a degree in journalism from the University of Kentucky and is a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She's been creating healthy dishes for her family's restaurant Ramsi's Cafe on the World for over 20 years and is the author of prana-junkie.com, a website dedicated to healthy cooking and other practices for a life of vibrant energy. She currently hosts an array of seasonal offerings, including Veg-Centric, Seasonal Edition: Delicious plant based dishes using seasonally appropriate produce, Healthy & Easy Instant Pot Meals, and World Broth: Healing Bone Broth Recipes from Around the Globe. Rhona also writes about food, teaches cooking classes and creates personalized menus for private clients.

Elder Master John Price, is the head instructor and owner of the Shaolin-Do Martial Arts School. His 40+ years of practice will help guide you through learning basics and prepare you for more advanced practice. He teaches a four part Tai Chi series at Meridian Integrative Wellness.

Debbie Godfrey, certified Parent Educator, brings over 25 years of expertise in the parenting education field. She most frequently teaches "No I won't, you can't make me!" and Redirecting Children’s Behavior parenting skills class, as well as others. If your kids are driving you insane, she's the person who can help teach you tools and practices that will create a lot more love and a lot less chaos. Teaching with compassion and humor, parents LOVE her classes because they're practical and provide tools they can go home and use immediately with their kids.
