TAI CHI & CHI KUNG

Chi Kung is a fun and easy exercise that has been used for thousands of years by martial artists, nobility, and retirees in parks to maintain health and mobility into old age.  Chi Kung is an exercise in which the body moves in gentle, often circular movements to offer many benefits.  The movements guide energy through the meridians of the body to strengthen the organs and their corresponding energy.

Chi Kung moves the fluids of the body in ways that allow stagnant water to be re-integrated into the digestion and excretion processes of the body.  The circulatory system has the heart to move blood through the veins, arteries, and capillaries.  However, the lymphatic system doesn't have a pump to move its fluids, so it relies on the movement of the body.  Chi Kung movements provide the mechanism to move the lymphatic waters, by gently opening and closing the hips, shoulders, knees, ankles, elbows and wrists.
