Get familiar with your inner dialogue.
Experts estimate that we have up to 60,000 thoughts a day, 80-90% of those being repetitive and/or negative. It's safe to assume that our well-being is impacted greatly by our internal communication.
- Experiment: For the next two weeks, keep a record of your inner critic’s thoughts in a journal, then examine their truth. Really examine their validity. How do those negative and repetitive thoughts make you feel when you believe them? Who would you be if you chose not to believe those thoughts?
