About

your Freedom & health await You

A Note From our Founder

In my own life I've suffered through trauma, codependence, depression, anxiety and an autoimmune disease called Psoriatic Arthritis. All of these things left me feeling deflated and utterly powerless over my ability to live peacefully without severe physical and emotional pain.

The scales began tipping for me with wisdom gained through my four pregnancies and deliveries (yes, four!!) I learned that my body does in fact work, if I respect its power, give it what it needs and embrace the challenges that lie in front of me. This realization served me well when I found myself with an autoimmune diagnosis, in excruciating pain and reliant on a wheelchair. I threw myself into the challenge of creating my own wellness after coming to the grave understanding that, much like the work of birthing a child, no one else could do it for me. No matter how many specialists I saw, and I saw a lot of them, there was no escaping the truth; the work of healing was up to me.

It's been a long and winding journey but thanks to my commitment to small daily action, trusting in my body's capabilities and the relentless pursuit of learning from psychology as it relates to behavior and well-being, I've not only recovered, I'm thriving. I feel fortunate for the physical and emotional health I now have and I'm driven to help other's experience the same freedom from chronic conditions in their own lives. If you want healing and you're willing to work for it, our team of practitioners (including myself) is here to support your journey.

All the best,

Take Charge

Get back in the driver's seat of your own well-being by learning to become more confident, capable and self-reliant. Recognizing your own role in healing and taking your power back is life changing.

Be willing to heal

Discover how to create long term, sustainable wellness through openness, learning and commitment to small daily action. Your willingness to do these things directly impacts your healing.

SHIFT YOUR MINDSET

Don't believe everything you think. You are not broken. Your body knows how to heal. Your only job is to create the right environment for healing to happen.

how we help you help yourself

1

Developing confident, capable & self-reliant people.

Chronic disease and stress combined with our very flawed health care system has a way of dismantling your self-efficacy, or your overall belief in your ability to succeed. Through many modalities, we lead you back to your own power as you climb back into the driver's seat of your own well-being.

2

Building long term wellness is rooted in the willingness to be curious, learn & take action in small ways everyday.

Healing is an investigative process; a deep dive into finding out what works and what doesn't, and why. We use knowledge from the neuroscience of behavior change and psychology to help you develop sustainable habits that serve your overall well-being.

3

Embracing the wisdom of the body & allowing it to serve as a compass.

While you may have spent a good deal of time feeling powerless over your health, the truth is that the real power doesn't lie within the hands of a medical doctor, a guru, or anyone else. Your path to freedom from disease lies within your very own hands, the knowledge already in your body.  We work to help you tune into your body's messages and reunite the mind-body connection that's often weakened in chronic disease and stress sufferers.

Strategy for Healthy Lifestyle Change

Our strategic approach centers around supporting you in discovering ways to successfully implement healthy lifestyle changes across all areas of life. This is very intentional work to bridge the gap between medical recommendations and your abilities to successfully them into real life, with the goal of developing long-term health.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy as a self-care strategy is just one of many tools we offer to help you reclaim your personal power in your healing journey, nurture your body and gain a better sense of balance in your life.  Essential oils provide safe, natural alternatives to chemical and pharmaceutical products and are very effective in supporting mood.

Biofeedback Therapy

Biofeedback helps to restore balance in your body through stress reduction protocols, muscle re-education, relaxation training, pain management and brainwave relaxation training. All of this is done by the Biofeedback machine. While you're connected to the electrical sensors and receiving biofeedback therapy, your only job is to relax.

Holistic Counseling Therapy

Counseling therapy is one of the many ways practitioners at Meridian Integrative Wellness work to serve our community and improve our client's sense of well-being. That being said, therapists are definitely not one-size-fits-all. We are proud to have some of the most skilled practitioners under our roof, all of which are highly specialized in their craft.

Mindfulness Skills

Sharpen your mind, improve your physical health and increase your emotional well-being through simple mindfulness practices like meditation, breath work, body-scan, walking meditation, guided imagery and mindful eating.  Mindfulness, or simply bringing your attention to the present moment, is the goal of any meditation practice; it's the thing you carry with you into your daily life outside of your practice, where you see the benefits.

No matter where you are in your health journey, Cultivating Resilience will be helpful.
